I said there would be a chart today.  If you have been waiting for said chart you will be disappointed.  I have a far better story instead.  I received this e-mail yesterday from one of our member Dawn Leaness…

Weight class winner!: http://runhigh.com/2012RESULTS/R100712AD.html (I had to carbo load a bit at the end to make sure I hit 150 . . . )

Seriously, thank you for talking some sense into me last spring and convincing me to stop doing long runs.  They make me hate my life, as did miles 10-26 of the marathon, but it was a life goal to qualify for Boston, so it worked out.  All I did to train (or not train, rather) was crossfit 5 days a week plus one track workout a week. Obviously not ideal, and I should have at least done more track workouts, but it worked out.  “

Dawn trained her ass off in the gym and cut her mileage down exponentially and still managed to qualify for the Boston Marathon.   I would like to personally (and all of you as well) extend my sincerest congratulations to Dawn for an impressive showing on your race.  Now we have to make sure she can Snatch her own body weight by the next marathon and she will do even better…

Thumbs up,
